5 GMT/UTC – The universal time to which all time zones are based
General Information
Basic Guide for Beginners
New to simunomics? First time transporting? Look no further! Just follow these easy steps.
1. Choose a product to ship in the warehouse and select the “Transport” option from the drop down menu.
2. Choose the destination Warehouse from the 3 choices in the list and a list of available transports will appear shortly (Reminder: You need to have a warehouse at the destination).
3. A lot of transports appeared? Don’t worry! The only important transport for you is the first available Helpers Fast category transport. After verifying the timeslot in its name, note that you have access to all three categories of the same timeslot. Where are the rest? The list is organized by arrival time so expect Fast to be first, Average slightly behind Fast and Slow further down the list.
Tip:
An alternate way of doing this is using the search function (ctrl + f). Searching “Helpers Fast” “Helpers Average” or “Helpers Slow” will highlight the first available transport since they are arranged by arrival time! This is especially helpful in finding the Slow category transport hiding down the list.
4. The final question is “Which of the three categories should I use?” Here are some tips about them.
a. Slow Shipping – The slow but cheap choice
Pros: Cheap transport will not add much cost to the shipped items
These are usually used for the “expensive to transport” items such as Pipes
Useful for those who plan 1 week in advance
Cons: Transport will take 14-58 hours or within the next 2-3 days
b. Average Shipping – The average and timely choice
Pros: Transport will only take 6-26 hours or within the next day
Useful for daily or regular supply runs between cities to make ends meet
Cons: Can increase cost of the “expensive to transport” items such as Pipes
c. Fast Shipping – The choice for urgent transport and emergencies
Pros: Transport will only take 1-8 hours or within the same day
Cons: Can significantly increase the cost of the shipped items
5. After choosing which transport you want to use, you will only need to input how much you want to transport then hit “Confirm and Load!” Happy Shipping and Always make Helpers your preferred transport!
Advance Usage
Want to make full usage of our system? Simply memorize what the six timeslots translate to your local time. You can compare your time with ours using the “Time Zones” feature in Simunomics (http://www.simunomics.com/Office-TimeZones.php).
In this example, the local time setting is +8 GMT/UTC. We now know that the 12 UTC timeslot translates to 8:00 PM of local time in +8 GMT/UTC! It also follows that:
As long as you know these times, you don’t even have to check the transport listings anymore! Have confidence in shipping!
Customer Service
Are any of our transports erroneously charging a fee different than the published fee? Are our transports not on time in accordance with their UTC schedules? Simply send a message to Synchron Transport Co. with the problem and the vehicle’s unique identification code (Ex. TC1121) and we will fix it!
